Meet Brian Robie

Brian Robie was born in 1988 in Manchester, N.H., and raised in Sunapee, N.H. After graduating high school in 2006 with a 3.8 GPA, Brian would go on to Worcester Polytechnic Institute, graduating with distinction in 2010 with a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering. Upon graduation, Brian accepted a position with the Department of Defense in a research and development position focusing on body armor for the Armed Forces. After five years he chose to leave this position to pursue a business opportunity in the commercial construction field. That opportunity has since developed into his day-to-day operation of two successful construction companies as well as various other business and real estate ventures as he continues to develop and hone his skills on and off the track.

Career

Brian’s start in racing was unconventional at best compared to most racing stories. Outside of attending a handful of
races as a fan, Brian had little background or knowledge of the racing world. In fact, his only family connection to racing was an uncle who retired from racing when Brian was 4 years old. However, that did not deter him when he decided to get involved in racing. Instead of starting in entry-level divisions and working his way up, Brian decided to build a car and compete in the division that captured his attention the most as a fan, the modifieds. After a long build process that started in approximately 2013 and involved tapping into the one racing connection he had (his uncle) and the connections his uncle had made all those years prior, Brian made his debut in 2016 in the crate modified division at Monadnock Speedway, notching his first win at the tail end of the season. After purchasing a second chassis in late 2016, Brian would add Tour Type modifieds to his resume in 2017 at the suggestion of a track operator and a loaned engine from an unbelievably kind fellow competitor. This opportunity paid dividends as he would notch his first Tour Type win and add two more crate wins in 2017, as well as receiving multiple awards for feats such as “hard charger” and “highest finishing first-time driver” in the first touring series races he attended. In 2018 he would continue
attending open touring races when possible while continuing to compete full-time in a crate modified, notching two more wins. 2019 would be the start to an upward swing, as Brian would add 7 wins en route to his first track championship at Claremont Motorsports Park, while also being named Rookie of The Year in the Modified Racing Series. With a taste for success in 2019, the team decided to focus the 2020 campaign on NASCAR weekly series racing across New Hampshire. The results speak for themselves with 13 wins, and track championships at Claremont Motorsports Park, Monadnock Speedway, and Hudson Speedway. These efforts also netted the NHSTRA Quest for the Cup Championship, New Hampshire State Championship, and an unbelievable finish of 5th in the NASCAR Division 1 National Series points championship. With the success of the weekly series efforts in 2020, the team decided
to see what they could accomplish with the Tour Type modifieds in 2021 focusing on the Modified Racing Series while still competing part-time with other touring series as well as the weekly series when possible. Once again, the focus paid off, resulting in 4 wins and the 2021 Modified Racing Series Championship. 2022 and 2023 would see a diversion from the dedicated schedules of the previous three years, while the team would make its first starts with the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour as well as running a very diverse schedule consisting of starts with Tri-Track Modified Series, Modified Racing Series, Open Shows, and Weekly Series races throughout New England and branching out down the east coast. These efforts resulted in 10 additional wins and a wealth of knowledge and information gained from such diverse experiences amongst all these series and tracks, setting up for a strong 2025 season to come!

What makes Brian's story even more interesting is the fact that he is not only the driver but also the lead mechanic, crew chief, and tire expert. He takes immense pride in the building, assembly, setup, and performance of these machines. As he puts it, “I’ve always felt I was behind due to my late start in this sport, so the only option I have is to out-work and out-learn the competition."

2025 presents a plethora of options to Brian and the team, from weekly racing full time to running the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour full time and everything in between.
